On May 27, 2016, a swim closure for Bayview State Park was issued due to high bacteria levels in the water. This beach will be resampled next week to determine if bacteria levels have dropped.Contact with fecal contaminated waters can result in gastroenteritis, skin rashes, upper respiratory infections, and other illnesses. Children and the elderly may be more vulnerable to waterborne illnesses.
