Fecal Matters: Swim Advisory issued for marine beaches near Woodmont Creek in Poverty Bay, Des Moines, King County

BEACH Program Update


On December 8, 2015, a swimming advisory was issued for the marine beaches around Woodmont Creek in Poverty Bay, Des Moines, King County.  The advisory was issued due to a bypass at the Midway Sewer District plant.


Contact with fecal contaminated waters can result in gastroenteritis, skin rashes, upper respiratory infections and other illnesses. Children and the elderly may be more vulnerable to waterborne illnesses.
