Fecal Matters: Closure Issued for Eagle Harbor Swimming Beaches, Bainbridge Island, Kitsap County Health, WA.

On January 24, 2014, the Kitsap County Health Department issued a closure for Eagle Harbor swimming beaches. The closure was issued due to a break in a sewer line close to the mouth of the harbor.  The public is to have no contact with the water until  further notice.

Contact with fecal contaminated waters can result in gastroenteritis, skin rashes, upper respiratory infections, and other illnesses. Children and the elderly may be more vulnerable to waterborne illnesses.
