Tacoma, WA - Cummings Park and Les Davis Pier in Tacoma are open for water recreation. Beach closure signs were previously posted on May 24, 2013 due to high fecal bacteria in the water. The Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department removed the closure signs May 30, 2013, after follow-up sampling indicated low bacteria levels. There is no longer a public health concern, but heath department is continuing to investigate the source of last week's pollution.
