Fecal Matters: Swimming Advisory Issued for Cline Spit County Park, Clallam County

BEACH Program Update

On July 3, 2018, Clallam County Health and Human Services issued an advisory for water contact at Cline Spit County Park due to high levels of fecal bacteria in the water. Health department staff have posted signs at the beach and will sample the water again early next week to see if bacteria levels have dropped.

Contact with fecal contaminated waters can result in gastroenteritis, skin rashes, upper respiratory infections and other illnesses. Children and the elderly may be more vulnerable to waterborne illnesses.

Stay updated about water quality at your beaches by keeping up with us on our blog Fecal Matters, on Facebook, or join our listserv.
